Mahjong 102 is at West Art, tonight, Tuesday, June 23rd from 6-8p.
This class is for players who’ve already had an introduction to the game or have some experience playing. If you attended one of the Loop beginner classes in April, this is a great follow-up. Danielle from The 717 Mahj Circle will lead the night and prepare you for the upcoming open play days.
If you have your own tiles BRING them!
Additional open play dates are scheduled for the first Tuesday of July and August. Open play will not include formal instruction, instead focusing on playing the game. But, Danielle will still be on-hand for guidance! See you there July 7th and August 4th at West Art.

Who do you know that’s a modern-day Mister (or Missus) Rogers?
There’s some significant funding available for folks who know how to Be a Good Neighbor.
Changing in to slippers and a sweet cardigan at the door are not actual requirements.
The Lancaster County Community Foundation just teamed up with the Aspen Institute's Weave, The Social Fabric Project, and the Lancaster Local Journalism Fund to launch the Weaver Awards. It’s Lancaster, so you likely know a Weaver, a common Lancaster surname, but this is different.
It’s a new program built entirely around finding the people in our county who are quietly, passionately holding or ‘weaving’ the community together.
Those green thumbs running the community garden.
The person who organizes a neighborhood kickball league for no reason other than to have fun and introduce neighbors.
The collective that checks in on the elderly neighbors down the street or shovels their walks in winter.
Here's the part that makes this more than a nice gesture: 20 local individuals or small organizations will each receive $2,500 to grow whatever they're already doing.
No strings, no grant process…just fuel for the community that’s already “community’ing” (my made up word)
To qualify, the nominee needs to be 18+, live and serve in Lancaster County, and be running something that brings neighbors together and welcomes anyone who wants in.
So look around your block this week. Who's the person making your corner of Lancaster County feel less like strangers and more like neighbors?
Okay, Loopers, let’s nominate a rad neighbor for this! Then go tell them you did it…because that's the fun part. Winning will just be an extra cherry on top.

LOOPER DESIGN RESULTS
In last week’s poll, I asked if designing & producing some leather items to support the Loop would be of interest. With 94% saying YES, it looks like we’ll be crafting some new items together.
I’ll generate some concepts to vote on over the next few weeks. I have two leather shops interested in producing the items - Lancaster local all the way.
Not-so-secretly, I’d love to trade in my old reliable belt for a leather Looper ‘7:17 am’ inspired design.

Last week I found my way to a leather shop in Narvon called Urban Southern.
Many of you had to look it up, but I hope you soon find your way there for a visit.
