Wildflower Lookout in Ronks, PA
Goooooooal! Whether you were cheering on the USA last Friday or couldn’t care less about a ball on a pitch, I’ve got you covered this week. Catch the USA vs. Australia match this Friday at 3p at several local spots listed below. Or if your idea of a perfect afternoon looks more like a flower field than a fútbol field, find your way to today’s cover art location.
If you’d rather gaze at a flower field, checkout Wildflower Lookout. Over four acres of blooming beauty in Ronks. You can stop by for a field walk, sit and be for a picnic, or even rent a field for your next photo shoot or music video!
Speaking of flowers, The Table Topper bouquet winner from last week is Delphine M.
She’ll be connected with Little Animal Botanicals which many of you correctly guessed supplies flowers to Lancaster Pie & Coffee. Many thanks to Rachel who donated the bouquet giveaway!
See ya ‘round town!

The dinner club has been such a success! Thank you to everyone who has come out to meet new people. Have you been thinking about it, but feel unsure whether to make the leap and sign up? Here’s what people have said…
“All of the fun of meeting new people and none of the awkwardness.”
“It helped restore my faith in the beauty of humanity.”
“I came expecting to have a good time and I had a fabulous time!”
Are you in?!
The next Loop Dinner Club is Thursday July 16th in downtown Lancaster.
Here’s how it works: Take a quick quiz. Get matched with 5 strangers with similar hopes for the night. Find out your restaurant the morning of the 16th. Pay your way. Then…mid-dinner…get a text revealing the surprise optional afterparty location. Over 200 readers have done this. With a solid 4.8/5.
I hope to see you there!

LOOPER LEARNING: ROADSIDE LOVE
After almost three years of living in Lancaster, one of my favorite things to do is to stumble upon a roadside stand. Flowers, eggs, veggies, honey, bread…I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve found.
It’s relaxing to wander through the county and it’s also fun knowing my dollars are going directly into the hands of makers and growers. You can probably tell that I like to support local businesses and entrepreneurs in this newsletter!
Loop reader, Laurel, messaged me after reading last week’s newsletter about discovering strawberries around the county. She shared an app her brother built.
Drew Tuckey, a Lancaster local, developed the ‘Roadside’ app to help you discover roadside produce stands. Through the app you can find local stands and share those that aren’t listed. He celebrates small growers and fresh, local food.
Simply download the app to discover your next tomato stand or maybe you’re growing and selling something and would like to share your business. It’s free!

LOOPER ADVENTURE
…loading
In last week’s poll I inquired about a Lancaster County Bus Tour for Loopers. I’d source a bus, sync up with Faye Irene as our guide, and plot out a few adventures.
97% of you said DRIVE THAT BUS.
I actually won’t be driving that bus.
But I will have someone trained and licensed who can drive a massive executive land yacht thru Lancaster’s back roads and safely steer it around horse & buggies.
Details to come. Expect to meet some new folks and learn some new things about Lancaster!

Courtney & Tyler Madenford are the new owners of Lancaster BBQ Supply.
They are excited to sponsor the ‘Don’t Forget Your Father’s Day Scavenger Hunt’.
Tyler leads their barbecuing classes which you can find on their site. And Courtney runs the shop and is the other half of their cooking team.
Not only can they teach you how to master barbecuing, but they also sell everything from grills to smokers to pizza ovens and everything else BBQ-related.
The scavenger hunt begins Saturday, June 20th at 9am and runs through the 28th. Stop in anytime they’re open and scan the LancoHunts QR code to win some pretty amazing prizes. Tyler & Courtney donated the Traeger grill!

Where’s Wal’Ed’o?
I’m saving you some money on international airfare and pointing you towards Smoketown to visit Hudson Botanicals for a taste of Australia.
This ‘brunchery’ was last week’s location.
The G’day sign was the telltale clue, but the plants are what many of you noticed!
The winner of a gift card this week was Scott D.
No matter who you’re rooting for this Friday, Hudson Botanicals is a great spot for an after match dinner celebration…open til 8p Thursday, Friday, & Saturday.
Know a local shop you’d love to see featured in the Where’s Wal’Ed’o? - Share it!
Bonus points if you can intro me to the owner or GM!
Feel free to forward this email; I welcome all introductions.

Here are a few clues: About ½ mile from Historic Poole Forge this shop produces handcrafted, full-grain leather items, and it’s all made right here in Lancaster. Housed in a 1910 tobacco barn they can also create custom merch and gear. And finally, they donated a very cool prize to the Don’t Forget Your Father’s Day Scavenger Hunt!
Looper Merch & Design Poll
Visiting this leather shop makes me curious to create some custom items for the Loop community.
Think: a set of 4 leather coasters, a leather bookmark or a 7:17 am keychain. I’d craft up some designs and ask you to vote on your faves. Then open it up for sales to support the Loop. Let me know what you think!
Interested in helping pick designs for custom leather items to support the Loop?
As always thanks for staying… in the ‘Loop! -Ed
