Welcome back Loopers! This week’s newsletter was finalized on Saturday. I’m out of town on a family vacation and as you read this, I’ll be chasing a sunrise on a paddleboard across a lake in Virginia. There’s barely any cell phone reception there and I’ll be in heaven. Cheers to the unoffical start of summer!
-Ed
This week’s cover art is by Lancaster artist Ann Benton Yeager. This 10×20 inch mixed media piece is titled, Violent Current, and is set against the background of a Lancaster farm in spring. Ann is a Lancaster Art Vault resident-artist and has a class this Saturday for beginners at the Vault. Find all of her work on her site and class details in the featured section of 5Ws below.

LANCASTER LOCAL LAUNCH
My wife does yoga classes weekly.
This might be the reason I start…
I stumbled on a new business venture launching in Lancaster. One of my favorite aspects of having landed in Lancaster is the entrepreneurial spirit which exists here. I enjoy learning about all of the creative business endevors that exsist in our county.
So, it was no surprise to find Puppy Flow. A new business opening this weekend at the Shops at Rockvale.
Stephen Piotrowski is the entrepreneur behind the venture and is excited to build this puppy yoga experience and welcome the Lancaster community.
75 minutes of class with 45 minutes of stretching, movement, breathwork, and relaxation followed by 30 minutes of puppy play & cuddle time.
I’m not a doctor, but I have to imagine 99.9% of what ails us is likely solved by a few classes with puppy cuddles.
If you’re like me, you’re probably wondering about the sourcing of the pups? Rest your little paws. Stephen is partnered with ethical family breeders and is aimed at ensuring the pups are well cared for. He also has future growth plans to launch a pet pantry.
The puppies come from small, ethical family breeders that Stephen personally knows. “They’re all legal age, vaccinated, and many already have homes lined up.” The classes actually help socialize the pups through calm, positive human interaction during a critical stage of development. Puppy welfare is the top priority: guests only hold puppies while seated, pups always have access to water and rest breaks, and Stephen’s goal is for Puppy Flow to be genuinely positive for both the community and the puppies involved. The minimum age for classes is 10 y/o.
To kickoff Puppy Flow’s grand opening weekend, you’ll find discounted tickets on the site and Stephen has offered five class passes for the following weekend to Loop readers. I’ll announce the winners next week. To be entered all you have to do is click the poll below, right or wrong, you’re still entered to win!

The 5Ws of Lancaster
Who / What / Where / When / Why
I’m an Eagle Scout and have camped my whole life. I’ve even dreamt of being a traveling campground host. It’s on my bucket list to own a campground. It’s one of the reasons I’m glad to have crossed paths with the family that runs Pinch Pond. They’ve created a wonderful place to create memories with your family that’ll last a lifetime.
Pinch Pond Family Campground founded in 1968 is located in Manheim and is open year-round to welcome outdoorsy folks. Whether it’s a small tents to large RVs—they’ve got you covered. There are also cabin rentals, on-site activities, a fishing pond, playground, and a pool. Looking for a place for your in-laws to stay when they visit this summer? Look no further!
Click the logo above or call & ask for the “Loop” special to have one extra free bundle of firewood included with your stay the weekend of May 29-31st @ 717-665-7640 and my buddy, Devan, will personally come start your campfire for you. 😉

LANCASTER LOOP URL + IRL
Step # 1 is the “URL”. A weekly orchestrated email for you, by me, to grow us.
Step # 2 is the “IRL” (in real life) Neighbors meeting neighbors.
Step # 2: DINNER CLUB
Next Thursday the Lancaster Loop Dinner Club lands back in downtown Lancaster.
Click the pics below to be grab your spot with your tablemates!
The Lancaster Loop Dinner Club is back in Lancaster on June 4th.
Here’s how to join neighbors meeting neighbors:
#1 Take a quick quiz on your interests, dietary needs, types of people you’d like to meet, which helps find you a welcoming table.
#2 Get matched with five other Lancaster Loop readers based on your quiz. They’ll remain a mystery until dinner time on the 4th.
#3 The morning of the dinner you’ll receive your restaurant location where you’ll meet your dinner crew from 630-8p
#4 During dinner everyone will receive a text & email invitation to the secret location of the afterparty where conversations and friendships flow. The afterparty is optional, if you have gleefully forced yourself to be an extrovert and just want to go home and crash!
LOOPERS LEARN MAHJONG: We will have finalized dates for the long awaited Mahjong reunion tour 🤘. 6/23 we’re back at West Art.
Followed by additional dates of July 7th and August 4th for Mahjong.
Open Play format. Danielle of The 717 Mahj Circle will be back on site with expert guidance, support and encouragement!
LOOPERS LANCO HUNT: Mike and I had a great time putting on the Mother’s Day scavenger hunt. We’re looking for partners to sponsor a Don’t Forget Your Father’s Day version.
Reply to this email to showcase your local businesses while celebrating dads this June.
We’re looking to be connected to businesses dad’s love to visit!

CONTRIBUTE TO THE LOOP
All of your support stays local and keeps the Lancaster Loop alive and well.
The Loop will always be 100% free to read while being independently and locally written by a guy with a keyboard who loves Lancaster. Many thanks to you all -Ed
Feedback is golden.
Here’s another easy way to share your thoughts & feedback…or just yell at me. I want your help shaping the future of the Lancaster Loop. Think of it as the Lancaster Loop version of “See Something, Say Something”.
Share a thought on today’s newsletter or something great you saw or know about in Lancaster. Stay anonymous or not…your call. But seriously, I want to hear from ya!

Where’s Wal’Ed’o?
Last week as so many of you knew I was standing on the hallowed grounds of the Lancaster Long John...
Sharon one of the owners of Achenbach’s was kind enough to donate 5 dozen Long Johns to give away to Loopers. Each winner wins a full dozen Long Johns. Seems feasible that if your family doesn’t read the Loop you could eat six and tell them you won half a dozen?!
If you happen to be new-ish to Lancaster and haven’t made your way there…the peanut butter icing is the move.
Congrats to Stefanie Scarborough, Alicelynne Watson, Wendell Kauffman, Mel Esh, and Becky Nickerson! You’ll see an email today connecting you up with Sharon to coordinate your delicious one dozen Long Johns.
Know a local shop you’d love to see featured? If you know a great business or restaurant reach out. Bonus points if you can intro me to the owner! Just forward this email to the owner or GM - I welcome the introduction.
👇 Click the pic to guess this week’s “Where’s Wal’Ed’o?” location 👇
Here’s some clues: It used to be a Turkey Hill, but now it’s customers are furry four-leggers. Filling their bellies and serving up treats. David is the proud owner and an avid classic skateboard collector, but his son is the mural artist.
As always thanks for staying…in the ‘Loop! -Ed
P.S. Property Peek is brought to you by Jeremy Ganse with RE/Max Smarthub
Consider me a +1 if you buy this 10 acre farmette. I’ll arrive with guac and chips to explore the 19th century bank barn and enjoy the 3 Bed & 2 Bath log cabin built in 1740
P.P.S. If you enjoyed today’s newsletter, send it to someone who still struggles with some area names…badly mispronouncing it “Co-co-leek-co” instead of “Coh-cal-li-co”…my way is more fun to say
