Favyan A. & his daughter tracked down the IRL adventure from last week’s Lat & Go Long!
A big HAPPY 9th BIRTHDAY to Avyana!
Hello Hello Loopers…yet another packed edition. In fact, if you can’t find something that interests you between the Saturday & Sunday listings…email me because I’d love to know what I’m missing.
Cheers to all of you who would like some additional adventure. 95% of the poll takers would like more ‘in real life’ Lat & Go Long adventures. I’ll post another IRL adventure soon. If you missed it, find the details here. Favyan check your email for a small thanks for sharing your experience.
I look forward to seeing many of you in Lititz this Thursday for the 2nd round of the Loop Dinner Club. Thank you to everyone who registered, there’s only a few spots remaining. sign up here
I’ll see those of you attending the after party where you’ll have a VIP experience & tour. You’ll receive a text and email Thursday morning with your restaurant. Then at 730p, during dinner, another email/text will be sent to you with the after party location. Come enjoy a drink on Victory Brewing!

Hourglass Lancaster
21 weeks ago, I shipped the first Lancaster Loop newsletter. My intent is to build a conduit to community. To help neighbors meet neighbors and lift up all the good I find here.
One of my inspirations was a local organization, Hourglass Lancaster.
Hourglass is a non-profit focused on the long-term health of Lancaster County. By way of smart growth, caring for the environment, education, and keeping the city vibrant.
One of the cool events they have coming up is a community forum called “Our Schools, Our Future: Navigating AI Together”, on May 7th at the Ware Center. The conversation will focus on how AI is impacting education right here in Lancaster County.
Last Friday I met the executive director, Lea Zikmund. She emceed a community conversation with the leadership of the new nonprofit ‘Always Lancaster’, the new owner of LNP. I enjoyed the converstion about the future of news.
Bookmark a future First Friday Forum, put on by Hourglass.
They also have a bi-weekly newsletter, Keeping Lancaster Current, which just so happens to arrive every other Tuesday…hat-tip to the mutual Tuesday ‘publishing’ love.

Lancaster Run & Stretch
Common is a Lancaster run club that celebrates something bigger than miles run.
It’s fun to log the miles and track the distance, but even better to find your people.
It’s in those miles that you’ll find the moments that matter. The people who care. The community that binds us.
Come as you are and run what you feel.
A week ago Common held their first ever “Last One Standing” event. Run a 3.75 mile loop at the top of every hour for as long as you choose. One loop or 38 loops it was bigger than simply who could go the farthest or longest.
It was, how far did you WANT to go to run your race, to find your people?
To celebrate their inaugural event, the human behind Common, Curran Blevins, is personally welcoming you out this and every Thursday night.
Never run before? Just bought some shoes? Scared you might not do well?
Good. That’s okay. Come anyway. You’ll find your people.
If you're down for a group run and moments that matter, Curran and Kim Goodman from Blaze Yoga are giving you a post-run yoga session class pass to use at your leisure.
Interested? Click the poll and enter to win & take your first step toward “moments over miles.” Set the intention and then show up when you’re ready, as you are.
Your people will be waiting.
Are you interested in finding moments that matter & joining Common one Thursday?
SUPPORT YOUR LOOP
All your support goes directly towards keeping the Lancaster Loop alive and well.
The Loop will always be 100% free to read while being independently and locally written, heck you know it’s just the guy taking selfies!
Many thanks to you all -Ed

LANCASTER LOOP URL + IRL
Step # 1 is the “URL”. A weekly orchestrated email for you by me.
Step #2 is the “IRL” (in real life) Neighbors meeting neighbors.
So with that in mind, here are a few upcoming IRLs on tap for April:
DINNER CLUB LITITZ: Take the quiz, get paired with 5 readers, receive your restaurant invite the morning of the 9th, pay your way and enjoy your meal with new friends.
At 730p, you’ll receive a text revealing the secret after party location where you’ll rock a VIP tour in Lititz.
Hint: Strong music vibes 🤘 🎹 🎸!!! sign-ups end tonight at 630p
LOOPERS LEARN MAHJONG: Two world-class Mahjong teachers instruct you how to play one of the hottest games going @ West Art 6-8p. Tables of 4 learning and playing. Leave equipped for future Looper open play at West Art thru the summer on first Tuesdays.
Come to one or both event, the format is the same for each; beginner learn & play.
April 14th is SOLD OUT

Where’s Wal’Ed’O?
Turns out, me in front of an old tree totem pole was a…stumper (bad dad joke),
The correct location last week was the Amish Farm & House off Lincoln Highway, the first ever paved road in the US.
